Jay Jay Burridge

Jay is an artist, author and designer whose work spans television, sculpture, publishing and immersive exhibitions.

After graduating from Central Saint Martins, he gained early recognition for creating full-scale toy sculptures, including a Formula 1 car and slot-together wooden dinosaurs. He was later recruited by the BBC to succeed Tony Hart as writer and presenter of the award-winning children's art programme SMart, which went on to inspire spin-off series, live tours, books and magazines.

Following eight years at the BBC, Jay established a career across art, fashion and design. He collaborated with artists including Banksy and, in 2010, presented his solo exhibition When Superstars Ruled The World with Lazarides Gallery in Beverly Hills, featuring 15 full-scale dinosaur sculptures alongside works in multiple media.

Jay later partnered with Jamie Oliver to create the Dinersaur Diner pop-up in Piccadilly Circus and went on to write The World of Supersaurs, a six-book YA adventure series published in 14 languages.

More recently, he contributed to the design and curation of the Formula 1 Exhibition, returning to the large-scale sculptural work that first defined his career.

His latest exhibition, Dinosaurs Are Forever, presented at Blenheim Palace in partnership with Oxford University Museum of Natural History, brings together decades of artistic exploration, combining monumental dinosaur sculptures, storytelling and immersive design.
